Avoid watching TV or using laptop computers in bed.
Reading in bed can be a problem if the material is very stimulating.
If it helps to read before sleep, make sure you use a very small wattage bulb to read. Bright light from these activities may inhibit sleep.
Caffeinated products such as coffee, soda, sweets, and some brands of diet pills stimulate the body. Caffeine keeps you awake, makes for more restless sleep, and acts as a diuretic, causing you to make more trips to the bathroom.
